Zoom

We'll be using Zoom for our yoga classes.  You'll receive a direct link to class in an email a day or two before your class. When you're ready, use the link to log into class. Feel free to try the link early to familiarize yourself with the process.  A Zoom account is not required, you only need to click the link I send you, however if you want to create a free account, you can do that here: Zoom

Setting up after you're logged into Zoom

SETTING YOURSELF UP IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA:

The best way to set yourself up in front of the camera is to place the long edge of your yoga mat in front of the camera.  Position yourself with your left side facing the camera when you are standing at the top, short edge of the mat.  If the room you're in doesn't have enough space, don't worry about it, just position yourself as best you can. A separate webcam works best as it can be positioned more accurately, but an integrated camera is fine too.

CONNECT YOUR ZOOM AUDIO:

When you log into class, make sure you have un-muted yourself. Look for the microphone icon. If there is a slash through it, click the icon to un-mute so we can interact.  All participants will be muted when class begins.  After class, if you'd like to talk with me, you'll need to un-mute yourself again.

CONNECT YOUR ZOOM VIDEO:

Showing your camera is optional. However it allows me to make adjustments for you if I'm able to see you. To connect your video, look for a small video camera icon located on your screen (you need to be in Zoom to do this). Make sure the red slash is not showing  (click on the icon to turn the slash on or off) this way I'll be able to see your sweet face! Once you're in the class, switch your "VIEW" to "Speaker View" this way my image is larger and it's easier for you to see the poses. After class if you want to stay on to visit with other yogi's switch to "Gallery View" so you are able to see the class.

DO YOU WANT TO LISTEN TO MUSIC?:

Ginger's yoga playlist is available on Spotify. Start by getting your free Spotify account. Before our class you'll receive an email. Click on the "get music" button before class.  Or feel free to play your own music from your phone or other device. You won't disturb anyone because you'll be muted.

RECORDING: Please be aware our classes are recorded. This is  used to check audio/video and class structure. Any recordings that may be used for videos will not include you as a yoga participant. You are not required to have your camera on, however I won't be able to assist you if needed for adjustments.

If this is your first Zoom class, it's a good idea to sign on early to get set up. If you do arrive late that's fine, no stress.
